I'm grabbing everyone tomorrow, too, to hold a meeting and get everybody on track for what we have to accomplish in the next couple of weeks to get us out of here. I get that we're inviting a demon, but at the same time we don't exactly have a choice. Yeah. That's sort of the impression I'm getting, too. The demons aren't purposefully going after roles or anything like that, they're just going after whoever they can. Maybe it was stupid to try and protect all of them until I found them all, but it made sense at the time.

I don't think it was unwarranted caution! Makes it harder if you're constantly trying to track down roles because we keep losing them, anyway. But our demons seem to only pick one target a night - I'd imagine they're limited? Otherwise nothing would stop them from wiping all of us out at once, haha. So with Hizamaru's taken care of, there should only be one death this week, and one exorcism.

Most of our cases have been one body to one demon except for things like the case with Escha, Aizawa, Logy and Chuuya. We still don't entirely know what happened.
This week should only be one, but...it's the week after I'm a little more worried about. We don't know if there'll be one more that pops up after that either.
At this point, I think more people are probably okay with transparency. Our dear friends have made it quite clear that they're banking on us not trusting one another, after all.

Anyway, that certainly was a strange case, but it's the exception rather than the standard, at least... I'm a little worried about that, too - the week after. If we're looking to be in a better position for escape than they had expected, I wouldn't be surprised if they got even nastier.

Think that means our demons will be even more hostile and aggressive in the upcoming weeks? Doing things to try and inspire us to be more brutal with each other and fail at the last minute.

Wouldn't at all be surprised if that happened! I'd imagine they'll be more brutal during exorcism, more desperate to get away with their kills, and may start to take more advantage of the fact that they're wearing someone else's face for an entire week before trial to sow what seeds of chaos and mistrust they can manage. To be honest, I'm surprised that hasn't been happening already...? Maybe it has, but it hasn't been very effective.
I dunno. The demon wearing Hizamaru's face definitely tried to but it didn't succeed everywhere. It sort of implied it was having a good time manipulating all of us except...it's weird. It allowed him to talk to me on Thursday and tip me off to the fact something was wrong.
Hizamaru came to visit on Thursday when I was awake and told me about what happened in the club and what he saw. It also told me about something Shiraishi heard and read that Hizamaru missed, and prompted me to go see him because Shiraishi grabbed something that Hizamaru didn't really see.
Turns out it was one of our ritual items, and Shiraishi heard the demon speak through Hizamaru. Or...something spoke through him, anyway.
Sort of. Hizamaru said: "Shiraishi-san was on the floor. He had something in his hand, but I don't know what it was. He kept it." He also said that the statue had writing on her stomach, but he didn't see what it was. Just that he thought Shiraishi looked.
So. I went to ask Shiraishi, and he said that he read the words but also heard them from Hizamaru's mouth after he took the remaining pill. "You will answer to our truth."
It's a theory I've had, but then why would Izuminokami tell Nikkari we need to get them? What's the point? I want to think the demon didn't see what Shiraishi grabbed either but that's too coincidental.
They may be just as misled as the rest of us, you know. There's no guarantee the other side has access to more factual information - especially considering they get there by means of the ship itself.

...okay so maybe you're right and I was being a little overly optimistic. But Carlos seemed to imply that the other side was busy getting answers and stuff, too, so I sort of assumed they were on the similar track we were.
I certainly hope that's the case... On the other hand, our hosts are also directly connected with something that not even they fully understand, isn't that so?
