Can't hurt. We may as well keep trying everything we can. [He frowns lightly at that though.]
There's only fourteen of us left now. Sixteen if you count Nathan and Chuuya, eighteen if you count Carlos and Polly even with them on the other side. We started out with thirty-three...but there's still more of us than of the first group. That's something.
[A little salute in which he almost doinks himself in the head with his bottle, it's fine.]
Mm, you're right about that - about both of those things. Can't say I don't wish that we'd managed to save a few more, but... [A little, sloping shrug.] We've done well for what we've been given to work with, I think. Everyone on this side is still holding up- [HM.] ...decently.
[A hand instinctively moves forward like he's worried Wei Wuxian really will hurt himself.]
Decently is one word for it, sure. [Are they really holding up. Are they.] We always knew we'd have to have a few casualties in a game like this and we know they're safe on the other side for now. As long as we remember that, it's a little easier to keep going. Right?
[Thank you for the concern Jumpy, he would pat his hand if he had one to spare... As it is he just casts over a grateful look and lowers the bottle so he's not at risk of concussing himself.]
Mm, you're right! Things would be much different if we weren't aware of the other side, I think. [Or if there wasn't an other side but haha let's not consider that.] And as far as casualties go, we've done decently for ourselves, you know?
Considering it's been almost six weeks if I'm counting right, we've been doing okay. Two bodies a week on average, it kind of adds up but it's better than the alternative of four again. [He rubs the back of his neck.]
It bothers me that we're no closer to stopping it though than we were the first week.
Hah, that makes two of us - honestly, that probably makes all of us.
[He crosses his arms over his chest, making a little huffy sound of mild agitation.]
I'm not particularly fond of still feeling like I'm reaching aimlessly in the dark when we only have days left, but I'll take what we can get, all the same.
I know. [He's not thrilled either.] But that's why in the upcoming week we may as well use everything we have and start pooling resources together. Talk to our hosts, figure out what they might know that can help us, utilize our roles to our advantage...something's gotta give.
Mm, you're right. Sharing is caring and all... [NO ONE BETTER BE HOLDING OUT ON THEM. DEMONS!! As for the roles:] I'll see tomorrow if I can get anything decent out of mine. Good luck with yours, too.
[He shrugs a little.] Thanks. I don't think I'll be getting anything useful from mine because my job's done, but I might try to talk to my host and see what information I can get. It's worth a shot.
Exhaust all avenues, right? Nothing much else to do now. [He'd clap a hand on Junpei's shoulder but he only has the one holding the bottle so he just gets bottle doinked on the shoulder instead...]
Though for now, I want to go check on Edelgard - make sure someone's patched her up.
Good idea. I should...apologize to her later for yesterday. [A frown of thought, but he nods even when bottle doinked.] Take it easy after that, alright? Even if it doesn't actually--well wait, it doesn't hurt to have an arm missing like this right?

[People just set the bar so low for him... He's quiet for a second at that, though, as he takes the bottle.]
--It's going to be even quieter now, hm?

[But also, would anyone really expect Wei Wuxian to say when something hurts, considering how he reacts to every other injury!!]
I won't get in any trouble so don't worry about me. Just go talk to her before we really start getting into the thick of things, hm?

[He'll just hold the bottle Junpei's way in the meantime since he can't show up at Edelgard's door with uno hand and a bottle of liquor.]
Catch up with you soon, then?

Definitely. Take it easy.
