—I'd say that's pretty likely, based on what we know. First of all, we already know that it can be suppressed. Presumably it can be properly destroyed, too, given how eager it was to escape that containment circle - even if we don't know whether that's a good thing or not just yet. [Just in case it is some hydra...] Next, it waits until Thursday night consistently so far. It could very well be playing to our rules for the sake of its own amusement, but would that really be enough to keep a fickle creature to such a strict schedule? Not sure I buy that.
I guess I never thought about it that way with it following to match us. But you're right. If it's taking possession early in the week, why wait? I thought it was about gaining more power but if it can't move, that's interesting.
I'd like to see if there's any more we can learn with whoever may be possessed this week. If it's about rules, maybe the demon will be more inclined to answer if we ask a certain way.
Box it into answering by asking the right questions, hm? It's entirely possible that if there are rules binding it to the schedule, there are things that can get it to talk, too... Come to think of it - we already know there's at least once force at work that it can't deny, right? Whatever makes people walk themselves to the panthouse at the end of trials.

We also know that somehow that panthouse contains them without allowing the demon to jump hosts during the time they're in there. Which brings a whole list of questions such as "why was this hotel built with that room in mind" and "why denim" but I doubt we'll get an answer for either of those.
I can't help but wonder if the denim itself is actually important...

But that's true, very true. It does feel as if the ship itself is an entity of its own sometimes, you know?

It's not exactly out of the realm of possibilities here. For all we know, the ship itself is the main source of demonic energy and we have to unlock all of its secrets before we get anywhere.

Mm, might be the case. If not the same source of demonic energy our friends have come from, a source of some sort of energy that obviously has sway over everything else aboard. Who knows? Maybe the demons themselves are just as stuck here as we are, in a sense.
So...what, maybe we have to exorcise them to actually rescue them? That sounds like a bit of a stretch. I thought they weren't even on the ship until Polly summoned them.
...then again, Polly found the ritual book in the panthouse, so it could've been a clue. Now I don't know.
Haha, well, I don't know about rescue. [Waves a hand!!] More like they're just contained here - that they can't leave and go elsewhere, that this boat is the only place they can be. Obviously we wouldn't be able to test that theory unless we got off the boat and tried summoning them again on land, but maybe the book was put here for a reason and attempting that would be a very poor idea, assuming we ever could.
[But he just shrugs a little after that since damn, beats him.]
...yeah no offense but the last idea I'd ever try is summoning them again just as soon as we got away from them. [Just saying.] But the boat as its own entity isn't a bad idea to keep in mind. Everything is possible until proven otherwise. Or something.
