[It's fine? It's fine! Junpei runs into the room — and immediately stumbles across a puddle of vomit on the floor. Carlos is standing next to it, one arm braced against the wall as if to steady himself while his other clutches his stomach. There's still some, uh, grossness on his face when he jerks up at Junpei's arrival, looking very much like a deer in the headlights.]
J— Junpei? [Said like he didn't expect to see him here, even though he accepted the request?] I...
[Hm. He sure is looking pale and clammy, itty bitty red dots on his face like he popped some capillary blood vessels. He blinks rapidly, like he's trying to get his vision to focus.]
INTERNAL SCREAMING AT A PITCH ONLY DOGS CAN HEAR. He's unfortunately stepping in that puddle with one shoe but he's righting himself and, like, not falling on his ass. Instead he's sidestepping and just immediately nyooming because that does not look great.]
Dude. [WHAT. God it's gross, but...he's going to move and try to grab his arm to direct him to a chair.] Come on, sit down. What the hell happened? [He's also trying to track something down to wipe off his face? God he doesn't know what he's doing.]
[Luckily (or unluckily), Junpei will find it that it's very, very easy to direct Carlos towards a chair. He's, uh, kind of in limp noodle mode right now. Cold and clammy to the touch, and very, very shaky. He groans in discomfort when Junpei moves him.
There's a bathroom attached to the room, like you would find in a normal hospital, and the beds both have sheets? But Carlos is going to wipe his mouth with the back of his hand once he's sitting down, doubling over slightly as if to ease the pain.]
I— Ugh... I don't know. It's been like this since yesterday and it's just getting worse.
[...if Junpei were a smarter person he might, like, shove Carlos into a bed or into the bathroom but right now he's just kind of setting him down and crouching in front of him. Give him a second to press a hand to his forehead like he's checking for a fever.]
What hurts? Besides your stomach, obviously. I don't...really know medicine but maybe we can figure something out. Diana was a nurse and she talked about some stuff when we were all at Dcom. [Help?] What happened yesterday? Anything specific?
[The chair is comfy and he doesn't want to move ever again, so this is fine. Junpei's free to check for a fever, but what he will find is the exact opposite. Carlos' forehead is slightly sweaty, and he feels cold to the touch. Though he might not be entirely aware of it, he leans into the touch.]
Head hurts, too. Thought it might've been something I ate, but this feels too— [He cuts off, clearing his throat for a moment here.] It feels too extreme. I dunno if I've done anything to cause this though. Yesterday was [...] mostly normal.
[...it's fine, he's just going to let his hand move so Carlos can lean and let his fingers lightly massage at the base of his head. None of this really adds up to something normal that he can put a finger on though and the expression he has is...pretty worried.]
[It takes him a moment to respond, his eyes sliding shut as he tries to relax. Junpei might start to think Carlos just didn't hear him, but once the moment passes, he sighs.]
[...is there another chair. He's going to grab that so he can sit and rearrange them to pull Carlos's head to his shoulder to get him to relax while he's still letting his fingers move. Is he just tactile and affectionate with people he likes? Yeah.]
...we found her body yesterday. Something...hurt her, I think, because when we got there she sounded like she was in pain. But the crates were stacked and when we tried to move...[He just shakes his head. The implications are clear, but...he takes a breath after that though, trying to keep himself calm instead of coming unglued with everything.] ...same thing happened to Beck this morning. They found her body before it just disappeared. Chuuya's dead, too.
cw vomit,,,,,,, i'm so sorry

I thought... you'd take longer than this.
[Haha.]

What does "mostly normal" mean?

Zero. Is she missing on your side?

Do you know something about all of this?
