I had suspicions about him for a while, and Higekiri's the one who actually told me so I went to confirm it for myself. Did you figure out what Izuminokami's title is? I've been trying to puzzle it out and what his actual job is but twenty questions didn't go as smoothly as usual. [i.e. Ray and Ty are still threading but that's where we're at.]

Always one step behind you, huh? [he shakes his head.] Izuminokami provided decent reasoning, so I confirmed it myself. Higekiri still needs to work on that step before I can answer him.

[delays answering the next question because ray and jan are also still threading sweats]

[There's a slight smile.] Yeahhh I kind of told him that if there was something you needed to tell him you'd do it eventually. [A shrug.] Apparently, Wei Wuxian told him I was acting suspicious and he came to confront me. Higekiri knows about me, Dick, Nikkari, Edelgard, Escha, Izuminokami and one more he won't tell me. Thinking about the list Haymitch got from his role this week, it might be Illumi.

...I don't really know how to stop doing my job. [So. He learns stuff.] I had another interesting meeting yesterday, too. I didn't want to mention it while we were talking to Edelgard, but I found another Cockblocker.

Shiraishi. [The most exhausted look in the universe follows this statement.] Dick got some more information out of him when he talked to him, but I have a meeting with him Monday morning before he meets with his host.

I'll need it. He's...tricky but it should be fine.

So we're still missing one of the Booty Callers, one of the Sugar Daddys and one of the Cockblockers. I really hate these names. [...though.] And we still have no idea what the hell happened with Dimitri.

But I learned something interesting. Did you ever get to talk to Tamamo, Izuminokami or Grune about what happened when they broke into the security office?

Then you already made the connection I did? With the vision they saw.

You're going to have to be more specific on what you mean by connection.

A week ago they had a vision split into three parts. A man who was drowned in a fountain, a woman who brought him to the ritual circle to try and revive him, and another woman who killed the first one to summon something demonic.

Compare it to a scuffle in the fountain that ended in the ritual circle and the elimination, or birth, of something demonic. The journal entry Izuminokami showed me was dated for day twenty, which was the same day they broke in and Tamamo's arm was dislocated just like the notes mention. Things are starting to line up a little too well.

Uh. There were two entries and a lot of it was blanked out and damaged but it was something like...day 20. Spoke to...a list of names, including one that starts with an M and one that starts with an NE and ends in A. Did not find the....something shoes. "Task still pending for A. Where the fuck am I going." Most of the other sentences are illegible. Something about M and something about someone being a moron who can't stop breaking into places. "This is the last time I pop his arm back into socket."

Day 49 was...I'm sorry, repeatedly, sometimes in all caps. Why aren't I dead why, why, why, why...there was also "I want to" before that and I assume it's along the lines of "I want to die." So that's cheerful.

... So we know that things had likely reached their end around Day 49—at least, that was when the journal author fell into despair.

We're on about Day 27. That's not so far off.

You can see exactly why I'm concerned about finding the rest of our roles and figuring out what to do.

[...suddenly, something occurs to him.] The first broadcast that Beck, Higekiri and I heard mentioned the number dropped from thirty-three to twelve in four weeks. If there's thirteen roles, that might've been why the first group failed. They ran out of roles to fight back. And thinking about it now, that broadcast must've come right before the one you heard. It talked about going to talk to "C" too.

Why are the roles so important, though? I don't see yet how every single one of them would be needed to fight back.

No idea, but we can't exactly deny it's a possibility. We ended up being able to use our own role abilities better when it was all four of us on Tuesday didn't we?

Did we? Mine didn't change at all.

When I checked Taako the first time, I couldn't hear anything about what his title was. But checking Edelgard gave me a clear reading. It's the only thing I can think of.

Also Chuuya told me there were some things I didn't have enough power for yet. I thought it might've been that.

That's something, at least. Maybe Taako and Haymitch's provided more info than usual as well.

[but yeah, his was the same, probably because he's a failure whoops]
