We asked our door to open and it did when Higekiri was polite. Dick and Aizawa used a blowtorch and brute-forced it as far as I know. There doesn't seem to be a real pattern to how it works which is even more frustrating.
The rooms have puzzles inside from what I've noticed. Or, more like, things you have to figure out by putting together the pieces. Can't really threaten your way out of those. But maybe some doors are into that?
