I don't like questions I don't have answers to. [So yeah. But Prompto agrees to coffee and Junpei moves to pour him a cup, too. He can't judge, he takes his own coffee with milk and sugar anyway.]

Like the kind you can get from vending machines. I haven't even checked if the ones here have any because... they would come out as dick cans or something.

[Prompto's a good boy. He's fixing his own cup with the amounts of milk and sugar before he leans against the counter, back against it and front facing Prompto.]

Could be good practice for what they expect from us. [It's mumbled like he's talking to himself, but it's still true. He speaks a little louder though.] You were on the road for a while, weren't you? Probably makes it hard to cook or anything.

[One minute you make lewd jokes, the next you're talking about domestic tasks.]

[ He almost chokes on his coffee at that. ]

Don't remind me. Why did we have to get those kind of demons? [ Let's focus on the new topic. He gives a nod of his head at that. ] We left all the cooking to Iggy. He's amazing at it, even when we were roughing it.

[He's too drained to properly tease him, but he lifts his eyebrows just a little. They'll come back to that, just you wait.]

And Iggy is...? [The distraction of hearing about Prompto helps, he thinks.]

He's a friend. His name is Ignis but we call him Iggy or Igster. There was also Gladio and Noctis. Noct is the one that was my best friend and the whole reason I even went with them.

[ This is a much better topic so long as they just focus on the traveling part ]

I remember you mentioned Noctis before. [Four dudes traveling outside of a city to somewhere dangerous. He's put together that much.] How long were you on the road?

[ He has to think about it. It feels like a really, really long time. ]

About a few weeks? We um. Had to do a lot of running around.

Yeah. I've been there and done that. My job usually keeps me busy and traveling, too. [Slowly actually giving Prompto information? Sure.]

I'm a detective. [Nice and easy. He swirls the contents of his cup a little to stir them further.] Some of my cases can keep me away from home for a while.

Oh, that sounds pretty cool! [ New respect points. ] Is it like those detective games at all?

[Sometimes Prompto says something so pure that Junpei wants to die.]

Sort of like that. The firm I work for isn't exactly...legal? Or, I guess, it's more like we take care of cases normal law enforcement can't or won't handle. Maybe that's why something like this is almost comforting.

[It's really not, but he means in the sense of at least he knows where to start and how to start figuring things out.]

[ He's a simple nerd. Also that sounds like a super hero or even a spy. Which is still cool, except... ]

The being put into dangerous situations part or the locked up in a place?

I don't think being locked up would be comforting for anybody, but...both are things I'm almost used to by now. [Shrug!] But this stay has had a longer time limit than most.

Maybe you should think about a career change?

I wonder how long are they going to keep us here. The ghosts or the sex demons. Do we have to figure something out?

[He shakes his head.] I was thinking about changing jobs, but what I had lined up maybe wasn't much safer. [But anyway.]

Usually when something like this happens, we have to solve some sort of puzzle or problem they set up that involves a certain chain of events and a way things are done to get a certain outcome. We just haven't learned enough yet.

Yeah, we haven't. There's still a locked room we need to get into. And whatever is below this floor.

The elevators seem to indicate there's a lot of floors beneath us. And we don't know how many rooms are on those floors. We have to stop wasting time and start figuring out how to get them open. But, then again, I think everyone's priorities have shifted with today's announcement.

Don't remind me... [ He already said to Polly that he's probably screwed. ] Hey, maybe the ghost whisperers know how much time we have left? Or let us know when the demons will attack next.

You think the demon's on a schedule? [He's not discounting that idea but...huh. Kind of a weird thought.]

Yeah, maybe. Other wise we would have already had some issues already. It would also fit in with the whole horror movie theme we have already.

That's also implying that our demon has a high enough intelligence for that kind of planning which just makes this a little more awful. [And terrifying? Can't they just get a himbo demon, god.]

I'm keeping track of days myself. If there's a pattern, we'll find it.

You think I know an exorcist? [But the way it's said seems to suggest that he's got something up his sleeve in that regard, too.] I may be working on some things.
