[Sounds like a problem. He leaves the Grune subject alone, likely to loop back. By now they're on their second or third loop of the hallway as they walk and Junpei searches for something he knows won't be found.]
[...a wise answer, but not one he's entirely sure he can follow. There's a pause because he knows he has to answer, but none of his answers sound right. In the end, he settles on a nod.]
Then maybe they'll be fortunate enough to find people to help them. This is a place where people are going to start to see the ugly sides of each other. Can loving someone really save them?
[Don't like that he keeps having philosophical conversations with a sword, but here we are. He has his own answers to those questions, but they're out in the universe now anyway.] ...anyway, I don't expect a real answer. I'm just thinking about what's coming next.
I don't know if love can save someone on its own - but I've seen the way that it can heal old wounds. How a human being's wish to be cared for can overcome their other obstacles.
[but that's also just higekiri's opinion and he just laughs softly]
Mm. I want to help everyone here as much as I can too.
[Love is a double-edged sword, isn't it? He's not voicing that opinion because Higekiri's words are true, too.]
...help people by speaking to them and seeing what obstacles they have in their way. An outsider's perspective can probably be more valuable than anything else. [There's a frown when he stops in front of what we now know is the ballroom.]
My own obstacles are ones I can't overcome yet. But...tomorrow, maybe. With some answers.

[who can say where that certainty comes from though??
but at the mention of dimitri, higekiri hums softly]
I think... that young man confuses himself about what is or isn't his fault.

So how do you help someone like that?
no subject
... Love them despite their faults, imagined or otherwise, I suppose.
Maybe if they learn enough forgiveness from someone else, they can apply it to themselves.
