[At some point Junpei decides that he's running out of things to do again, so he ventures his way back to the lounge. It's with the idea of getting a better look at the paintings, but as he enters the room he pauses when he notices someone familiar.]

[ it seems the two of them are on a similar wavelength, because that's exactly why nikkari decided to hang out in the lounge today. hearing junpei's voice come up from behind him surprises him, and when he turns around, it's not hard to see why—the picture he was so intently focused on is one of the two of them 69ing each other.

he gives junpei a quick, thoughtful look over. ]

Are you actually this flexible, Junpei-san?

[Kill him. But ah...he's looking past Nikkari's head to examine the painting himself, tilting his head a little.]

Probably? [Maybe. Don't. Say that.] How long has it been like that? I want to know how long it takes for them to change positions.

I'm not sure—I arrived here not long before you.

[ . . . nope, no changing for as long as they're looking ]

Ah. Perhaps they have performance anxiety.

Can you blame them? That's a lot of pressure to be under. [Surely if he jokes about it it won't be as uncomfortable as it can be. On the other hand he takes another look solely for research before looking back at Nikkari instead. ]

I've been trying to see if they're holographs or something else. Far as I can tell we can't remove them from the wall.

[ on the one hand, what the fuck is a holograph, but on the other, that isn't a question he needs to ask... ]

Haha... are you truly that taken with it? Why waste the effort in trying to take a painting when you can partake in the real thing right now?

[I meant hologram but I'm an idiot shh. Anyway, Junpei's eyebrows gently crawl up into his hairline at the question but otherwise his face remains the same.]

With you, I can't decide if that's a threat, an offer or a genuine question. [That aside...] Anyway it's not so much about taking the painting as it is making sure there's nothing behind it.

You think they could be hiding something? [ I GUESS I'VE DUG MY OWN FUCKING GRAVE STRAIGHT DOWN TO HELL AND IT'S TOO LATE TO TAKE IT BACK so nikkari's taking out his sword and god please just have junpei kill him now ] I can attempt to remove it.

Past experience has told me yes. [I was going to ask a clarifying question to the mods but I'm scared to so no, suffer on your own.] If you think you can pry it off, be my guest.

[Actually he's sort of hoping? When he and Tamamo tried, it was just with their hands and that was ineffective :(]

[ he just gives junpei a nod before attempting to slide the blade of his sword between the painting and the wall. he gets it in as far as he can, braces himself, and then... pushes.

to no avail. the painting remains affixed to the wall, no matter how hard he tries to force it off. he doesn't seem too fazed to have failed, though; he's calm as ever as he slides his sword back into its sheath, turning back to face junpei. ]

Hm... you may be correct. Perhaps it's to prevent us from attempting to destroy them...?

[He's sitting here and offering zero help, watching Nikkari with his blade (him...self??? God, how do swords even exist anymore) and taking note of the fact that the painting doesn't seem to budge. The sword seems no worse for the wear and when it disappears into its sheath Junpei settles for a one-shoulder shrug.]

Prevent us from destroying them or even just moving them to another room. Maybe the key is to not want to move them? [He chances a glance at the painting again. Wow. His fictional self really is flexible.] Sort of makes you wonder where they're getting the ideas for what's depicted.

[Somewhere in the back of his head Junpei is haunted by dickpops and wonders if this is some kind of implication and punishment.]

[ maybe if he'd been cool with sharing dickpops before :/ they wouldn't be staring at this painting :/ ]

Perhaps they're giving us... inspiration.

[There will probably never be a day Junpei is cool with sharing dickpops.

"Not like I'd suck dick for free..." is a thought that crosses his mind before he realizes that's not even remotely what he should be thinking, so he narrows his eyes at the painting instead.]

What, you don't think people can come up with their own ideas? I'd like to think we're a little more creative than that.

Probably more than you think. [Hizamaru read him excerpts of Sex for Dummies, he kind of figures.] Are you not counting yourself then? I sort of figured you were all...y'know. Inexperienced.

[Does Nikkari think of himself as creative?]

...so is it a benefit or a frustration to be lumped in with the others who're clueless? [So no. You don't have "sinning" on your profile without being sort of dirty.]

What I can say for sure, however, is that it's always amusing to see them so flustered once they've finally caught on.

And you never thought of teaching them yourself? [It's not judgmental, he's mostly interested in what Nikkari's game is. He's also glancing at the portrait on and off.] It almost seems like they could learn a lot.

The matter never came up in our day-to-day lives... and, ah, Tonbokiri-san and I had undertaken a mission that kept us away from most of the others for quite some time. You know how it is.

Is that why he doesn't have any hobbies? [No, he does not know how it is except for where he sort of does in a way he's 100% not acknowledging. Haha.]

Mm... perhaps. He has always been a more combat-oriented spirit... ah, besides his fondness for performance.
