Mm. I suppose you could think of the first few years following my smithing as something similar to a childhood, and perhaps the earning of my name could be considered my coming of age... but I, as myself, as Nikkari Aoe, have always just been.

[ his free hand goes over his chest as his tail flicks absentmindedly. ]

Haha... I'm sure this must sound so strange to you.

It definitely sounds a little strange, yeah. [He'll just pet Nikkari's torso while he talks.] Mostly because everyone I know has years of memories but from different parts of their lives. And those memories tend to make up who the person is, so to just "be" is an interesting thought.

It's not as if that isn't the case for us, too, you know. My colleagues and I also have memories that distinguish us from one another. I will concede, though, that being granted these human forms has certainly also helped...

[ ... he trails off there to start purring as junpei continues to pet him. ]

[crashout]

Because being human means having a better understanding of the memories? [Good Nikkitty. He'll continue here for his own amusement.]

Mm... maybe so...

[ his eyelids are starting to droop... ]

[crashout]

[He...laughs a little.]

Are you really falling asleep on me? I'm being serious here. [He doesn't seem to mind.]

It's warm here... and you're the one who insists on continuing to pet me.

[crashout]

[He stops the petting immediately but they're still in their blanket bundle. ]

[uncleanse]

[ sticks his tongue out like a totally mature sword ]

We either nap or we move. You can't have both, you know.

[uncleanse]

[ he closes his eyes again as he relaxes in junpei's arms. ]

Haha... are you worried someone will walk in on us? We aren't even doing anything indecent.

[crashout]

[It's fine, he'll hold Nikkari like this...] It's not that but I didn't know if you'd be okay with just napping.

[uncleanse]

[ he cracks one eye open—the red one usually covered by his hair, which has since fallen to the side. ]

Hm?

[crashout]

...never mind. [He likes sex with Nikkari but this is nice, too. Sometimes cat naps are a comfortable thing.] Nap actually sounds good.

[He hasn't. Fuckin'. Slept. Zombiegate happened and he gave up.]

[ wow... he isn't always horny... ]

Mm... then we can nap.

[ he adjusts himself so that he's not forcing junpei to bear his body weight, but more so that they're comfortably flush side by side under the covers. ]

[crashout]

[Listen. But he's shifting an arm to slip around Nikkari's shoulders so they aren't laying on it and they can lay under the blanket nest comfortably. Normally he wouldn't do this, but being in the presence of another cat, and also Nikkari himself, means he's more relaxed. He presses up as close as he can though.]

Only for a little while.

[uncleanse]

As little or as long as you'd like.

[ as he nuzzles his face into the crook of junpei's neck, he breathes out a quiet, sleepy laugh. ]

I'm talking about the length of our nap, of course.

[crashout]

Of course. [He's just shaking his head, but he shifts to let Nikkari's face rest there. That's fine by him.] ...only a little while. I still have a lot to do, but...it can wait a bit.

[uncleanse]

[ he pauses for a bit, turns his head just a bit to kiss junpei's cheek, then settles back and begins to drift off. ]

[crashout]

[Unexpected but...it's nice. There's a content sound before he lets his own eyes shut and bundles the blankets a little tighter around them. Naptime for cattes. It won't take him that long before he begins to drift, too.]
