A little bit of both, though it's nothing urgent. [ he sits back, resting on his hands. ] Why exactly do you keep coming back here, by the way?

I like watching the fish. And it's quiet and far away from people, and people wouldn't expect to find me down here. [So nothing deep, but there's the lore. ] I like coming here when I don't want to be around many people.

[ huh. he half expected junpei to say something cat related. it isn't exactly the deepest reason, no... but it still seems to intrigue him nonetheless, if the curious cant of his head is anything to go by. ]

[Well to be fair being a cat doesn't help with the fish watching but it's fine.]

If I wasn't I would've left or told you to go away. [So yes.]

[ he pushes himself back onto his feet before extending a hand to help junpei back up. ]

[...alright, he'll get up and haul himself to his feet with Nikkari's hand, but he doesn't let go immediately yet.]

[ what a coincidence that nikkari doesn't, either. in fact, he takes it a step further as his tail similarly wraps around junpei's. ]

I should be the one saying that for allowing me to stay, you know.

I told you a while ago. It's because I trust you. [He lets his own tail intertwine with Nikkari's.] When are you gonna believe that?

Hm... it's not that I don't believe it. It's more that I like being reminded every so often.

[crashout]

[It's funny because it's not like he doesn't get it. He likes his own reminders, too, which is why he turns his head to kiss Nikkari's forehead briefly.]

Then let me remind you that you're always welcome to stay even when I don't want to see other people. I like your company more than most.

[ he laughs when junpei kisses him, the faintest shade of pink dusting his cheeks as his ears flatten against the top of his head. ]

What an honor... haha. I hope that stays true.

Are you worried it won't? [Cute...] I don't really give my trust out so easily these days.

[ there are a number of things that nikkari can say to counter junpei's statement, that he shouldn't trust at all especially if one of them becomes the demon's host next week, or if everything they've come to learn up until now has been a lie—

but that wouldn't be very befitting of the mood, would it?

so instead, he doesn't say anything. he just turns to kiss junpei on the lips this time, letting go of his hand only to wrap his arms around his shoulders. ]

[You do realize this is why Nikkari reminds Junpei of Akane, even if he doesn't know what he's thinking right now. Instead, he doesn't push or question why Nikkari's kissing him and instead he leans in and lets his arms loosely hold him by the waist to deepen the kiss just a bit.

Why not? It's still an act of trust and it proves his point.]

[ nikkari hums happily as junpei returns the affection, openly accepting the more spirited kiss. as he is wont to do, he takes the lead as he gently pushes junpei toward a railing so that his back is pressed up against it. it isn't exactly a kabedon, but... with nikkari's confidence, it's pretty darn close. ]

[He never minds letting Nikkari take the lead and he's bumping up against that railing, letting himself relax against it. Or, like, as much one can relax against someone like Nikkari who's taking the reins of this. He slouches just a little so they're closer to the same height, hands lightly stroking over Nikkari's back as he sighs against his mouth. He has zero qualms against letting Nikkari take over, but he's pulling him in closer until he's flush against Junpei's own body. Hewwo. I'm here to abuse kissing icons.]

it's cute that junpei tries to pull him closer, and nikkari laughs into the kiss to express as much. the reason for this becomes clear as nikkari pounces on junpei again, this time using the railings as an additional support to wrap his limbs around his partner. look, he's small, but he's trying to save junpei's poor twink arms and back, okay? ]

[Let him try!! It fails because Junpei and Nikkari are themselves and he almost wobbles and knocks back into the railing harder but Nikkari balances himself and Junpei...lets him. He appreciates the assist and there's a grin against Nikkari's mouth as he continues the kiss and lets Nikkari cling this way.

It also means with his hands free, he can reach up to pet one of the kitty ears and allow his other hand to grope his ass but that's just Junpei letting himself get carried away. It's fine.]

[ the ass grab is very much appreciated, and he runs his tail teasingly along the arm that junpei uses to do so. he takes the opportunity to slip his tongue into junpei's and roll his hips against him with a heavyy purr. ]

[He's getting the message loud and clear and there's a responsive little trill when Nikkari's tongue brushes against his. Making out is fine, groping is fine and with the roll of Nikkari's hips there's a soft groan in response, free hand moving to scratch at the base of one of the cat ears before sliding down toward his torso just to touch where he can.]

[ steadying himself on the railing with one hand, he uses the other to grab at the back of junpei's head to kiss him that much more intensely. it only lasts for so long, though, because he's pulling back a little to heatedly murmur, ]

You're allowed to keep going, you know.

[ he emphasizes this as he leans into wherever junpei's roaming hand is touching him now as he runs a finger down one of junpei's cat ears. ]

[The worst part is that normally he'd at least have better control, but there's a full, hard shudder when Nikkari touches one of the ears and he groans under his breath, hand moving back again toward his ass.]

Why is it that whenever we're together something like this happens? [He means "in public" mostly.]

[ there's the reaction he'd been betting on. the grin he wears now just seems to complete his feline appearance, like he's caught a canary right out of the area. ]

It doesn't seem like you carrre enough to stop.

[ this time, he doesn't quite mind the way the purr makes the r roll off his tongue as he backs his ass into junpei's touch; in fact, he'd been banking on it, dropping his voice dangerously low to match. normally, it's at this point that he'd start leading junpei's hand around with his own, but he doesn't want to stop petting junpei's ears if it keeps getting him to squirm like this... luckily, that's where his tail comes in handy as it snakes over to junpei's arm and tries to guide it toward the waistband of his pants. mrrrrrow. ]

Obviously not...[Practically purred in his ear, Junpei's wasting little time now, hands moving with a purpose. The tail begins to move though and Junpei laughs under his breath, nipping at Nikkari's lower lip as his other hand slides over to the waistband of Nikkari's pants to start working them open.] When have I ever really stopped with you anyway? That doesn't sound very fun.
