It's not exactly that. [The cuffs get dropped to the floor, farewell.] Some people are into that sort of thing and...y'know. Different levels of pain and stuff.
[Damn be patient? He's getting up and settling on the couch again so they can cuddle except he seems to be pondering himself. That. Hm. Yeah.]
...are you trying to tell me you get off on cutting through people? [Like. He's trying to follow here and he's not exactly judging but he's considering.]
Haha... this is why I said it was hard. [ beat ] To explain, of course.
[ kill him ]
But that is the nature of a sword, isn't it? We were forged for battle, and with battle comes bloodshed. I may not always enjoy it, but I cannot deny that there are times where it is satisfying. Not in a carnal way, necessarily... but in a way that makes me feel like I've fulfilled my purpose.
[ ... with all that being said, he turns to face junpei again to study his reaction. he totally understands if all That turns out to be a huge turnoff. ]
[The look on his face says that he's trying to understand as best as he can but that it's a struggle for someone who isn't a blade. He's pondering over those words and how it must be to go from a weapon to a human and be stuck in between.
It's like a core instinct, he thinks. He can understand that much.]
Fulfilling your purpose is a human thing too, believe it or not. That's the entire point of having and reaching goals no matter what. Sometimes you do things you aren't always proud of to reach those goals and feel like you're useful.
Something like that, right? Knowing your place in the world.
[ he doesn't say anything for a bit, choosing instead to lean against junpei. even if it's impossible to get a human to understand where he's coming from, he appreciates that junpei still makes the effort, and that along means much more to him than he could ever hope to express in words. ]
[ nikkari's laughter should be an extremely familiar sound to junpei at this point. it, along with a playful little peck to his lips, are the only responses junpei receives from him now. ]
[That's fine. He accepts it with a fond eyeroll and they probably sit around and BS for a little while after that. This is from W3. Let's do new things.]

Mm... I suppose it naturally goes against human nature to derive pleasure from pain.

I understand that. But for us... hm. Well, I wouldn't want to speak for my peers, so, for myself...
[ here he trails off a little, deeply ruminating on what to say. ]
It's difficult to explain the way it feels to cut through the flesh and bone of your enemies in a way that humans might understand.

I'll keep that in mind but seriously, don't count on it. [Kill him. He pushes at Nikkari's head a bit, but otherwise? He's content this way.]
