[So...at one point or another, Junpei's on the hunt for one special girl and eventually finds himself looping around back to their room. Entering the shared space, he pokes his head into the room and spots her there. It's...hard, sort of, to know what to say. He's not the best at this comforting thing or even knowing what to do, but Prompto was a mutual friend and...it sucks.]
Hey. [It's a start, and a greeting to get her attention. Once he gauges that, he can go from there.]
[Well...he'll approach to stare at the wall, too. It's filled with more notes now that the google doc doesn't reflect, but it's about the sexy demons and stuff. It's fine. He stares ahead...and sighs quietly.]
It's hard because this shouldn't have happened, but...it really shouldn't have been him. [...] You gonna be okay?
I don't know. Anything's possible in this place, so...we can't rule it out just yet. [He doesn't sound too optimistic either.] I thought...I don't know. That maybe we could stay ahead of this thing. But we have nine hours tomorrow to figure out what happened.
[...sigh.] When was the last time you saw him anyway?
[A brutal question. He doesn't quite know how to answer because if you say "no", it still feels bad but "yes" is even worse.]
I have a few theories I'm working out. But I don't know how many of them are right. If it works the way I think it might, then...I don't know what we could've done. [He would have liked to have done something, too.]
I don't get it. Why Prompto? We haven't even been here for that long and he never struck me as the type to make enemies.
It... [ Ugh, getting clinical about things is nice when they're embarrassing, but somehow makes her feel guilty to do it when they're sad. ] It makes me think that it's random.
Well, he had a gun. But I can't think of many people who knew that except for people who wouldn't attack him. Even then, he didn't seem like he'd want to shoot anybody if he could help it.
[He rubs the back of his neck.] We did what the demons wanted. I don't know if it's better or worse to think about it being random.
Does that make the people who did know suspicious? Even knowing someone is armed - to me it isn't enough motivation... It's like it's canceled out when you know what someone is like - knowing how friendly he...
One of them's me, so you tell me. [He wonders that too.] I know that Prompto can aim and fire pretty well, but it's still a choice. He's very...himself. [There's an inch of fondness there. Unfortunately, he liked Prompto a lot.] But you're right. It shouldn't be enough motivation.
He'd want it that way, wouldn't he? [Prompto always tried his best.] We'll do everything we can to trap that demon and make sure this doesn't happen again.
W1, FRIDAY;
Hey. [It's a start, and a greeting to get her attention. Once he gauges that, he can go from there.]

But she turns to face him and forces a weak smile. ]
Hey.

It's hard because this shouldn't have happened, but...it really shouldn't have been him. [...] You gonna be okay?

[ It's not like she can say it should have been someone else instead, but Prompto was so sweet. ]
... Everyone came back, last time. Do you think it'll happen again? [ She definitely doesn't sound like she thinks so. ]

[...sigh.] When was the last time you saw him anyway?

... Do you think he could have been protected, somehow? Like maybe I could have done... Something? [ Not that she knows what. ]

He was nice. And he didn't seem... Like a threat.

...he wanted people to like him a lot, I think.

I did like him.

[ Can you. Talk to dead people, Junpei? Junpei can you see ghosts???? Junpei??? ]

[ But sounds like the kind of thing someone would say just to comfort someone else. ]

I don't know.

...the best thing we can do is find who's responsible. Even if it means accusing someone we like.
no subject
But you're right. All we can do is try to figure it out. Even if it's too late.

[And then execution happened. A lot.]

[ She looks like there's more she wants to say, but hesitates. ]

...you do a lot for me and Dick, you know? So...we want to help you where we can, too. Even if it's hard to ask for whatever you're thinking.
