Wait. [Hm. Wait. Think back to what you know, Junpei.]
Yours is the one that's brand new because it transferred. [The coincidence is too much given it's exorcisms.] You obtained Escha's role after she died.
Huh. So that's good to have confirmation, then. [He looks relieved he doesn't have to worry about that.]
She told me...each week the Cockblocker role she had can protect one person from an exorcism. Can't be the same person twice in a row. Gotta sleep with them first each week to make the protection work. It won't work if they tell the person that's why they're sleeping with them. And you can't tell anyone your role.
That’s why I asked if you could tell me what you found. I think coordination makes sense.
[She shakes her head at Junpei though.]
Remember what I asked you earlier? Escha never actually successfully used her powers, did she? She never interrupted an exorcism. And neither have I, obviously.
I can double-check with the hosts to see what the rules are on this. Escha and I did a lot of things we weren't supposed to, so it's not necessarily a good idea to repeat the way I interacted with her.
Otherwise, it might be better to discuss beforehand who I should check, and if I don't come to see you immediately on Tuesday, you can assume it was a miss.
[though there's a very narrow ooc window of time,]
Precisely. I have the rules and I understand how it technically works. The question is, if my purpose is to prevent another situation like Escha's, I'm uncertain how I'm meant to accomplish that. There's another possibility for what I'm meant to do, but -
How were you and Escha coordinating, Kagachi? Why did she want to know what you found?
If I did find a host, she'd know who to protect. And if I didn't, then she'd know not to choose whoever I'd cleared, since the assumption was that they likely wouldn't be voted for that week.
Like I said, it didn't work out well because of the timing, and because in the following week, Escha ended up in her forgetful state. But that was the idea.
Something along those lines. She made a pick last week and tried to frame them with the thought that her ability would kick in if the vote worked. Unfortunately, it didn't work that way.
If we think about what happened when Hizamaru tried to exorcise Monika, the demon can't leave the barrier that easily. We don't actually know, but if we can separate the host from the demon, likely we can trap it and kill it ourselves while it's still stuck in the ritual circle. Or I'd hope so, anyway.
In any case, that sounds like an answer for you to get from your host, somehow. It's your role, so if anyone has the best chance of getting more info on how it works, it's you.
My suggestion would be, either skip the assumptions and ask questions if you want to learn things, or at least make better assumptions. For example, a good assumption would be that if I was unclear how my role worked, I would have already asked the host for clarification.
From that assumption, do you want to make a guess about what I was told?

[She looks pleased.]
I couldn’t say everything Escha told you about the role, so I don’t know whether it’s truly the same. But that has been my assumption.

So...that helps us, right?

Think.

There's something slightly different about your version of the rules?

I'm not certain how something works. I've been unable to obtain clarification and I find it very concerning.
I think that's a good idea.

I wonder...if the reason is because there's three of you and you just don't have enough power yet. [Just throwing that out there.]

You were told your role could save a life if you pick right? [Deadpanned. The roles are a lot.]
