Of course she does. [Likewise, he's actually pleased to be working with people he gets along with. He hasn't touched his dumpling because he's still a little distracted by something, but there's a pause when Dick mentions that.]

"Some fucker doxxed me." Says he woke up with it Thursday morning, no idea where it came from. But pretty sure it's not the same place my box came from. We did a handwriting comparison.

[He does not, actually, need an explanation who IK is, but he glances at Escha.] Izuminokami.

What does that mean?

Doxxing is a term for when you find private or identifying information about someone and publish it in some way to make it public. [ dick does not mention the part about it being done online because. he doesn't want. to explain the internet ] Like-- back home, if someone figured out my identity and made it public knowledge, you could say I was doxxed. In this place, though...

That's how I explained it to Izuminokami, too. In a place like this, what would be considered private or identifying? [He has an answer he just doesn't want to say it.] Or, I guess, what's considered publishing it and going public?

Those are our biggest secrets, aren't they? So did someone find out his role? And if they did, um, does that mean he has a role?

That's what I thought too. A role, or-- possession of the demon are the two big secrets a person can have. But I don't think a demon would send an invisible note about being doxxed. So why did IK get that note?

Escha might be right that he has a role, but the role is something different than being doxxed. Maybe he receives ghost notes from the past or something? [A shrug.] It could be similar to Dick's where information's delivered to Izuminokami and he has to put it together.

Or. It's similar to our Box-Role and someone picked him at random as part of their role. A hidden message of some kind.

I thought it was like someone else's role. They can see his role, then he gets the notification, maybe? Like a side effect or something.

Could be. JT's theory about it being a message from someone else makes sense, too. So our main options are a role that can send information to who they pick, and that's why they're only visible to that person, or a notification from someone using their role to see his. Though-- how'd he react when you told him what doxxing was? If it's the latter, he'd have clued in.

He mostly wanted to know whose writing it was, but more in a "why do I have this note" kinda way instead of "oh shit they're onto me" way. I doubt anyone checked to see his role or he'd be a little more annoyed about it.

If it is a role that just sends information, how is that note... Helpful to anyone?

It's not that. [And it's really not?] I made a promise not to say anything until they were sure it was safe on their end. And I can't break a promise like that.

Give me a day or two to see. We said we'd stay in touch and they'd update me on their choices when they could. [He runs a hand through his hair.] But I trust you both, and I trust them. A lot. Probably the most out of anybody else here. So...trust me.

Well... It's important to keep promises, so I don't mind waiting a little bit.

We need to share information, but - we also need to trust other people, and be worthy of their trust. Right?

Escha's right, as usual. [ lightly! ] Just write down "secret" on our six slot for now. As long as one of us found them, we've still got the info. And we're still almost halfway through in less than two weeks. Not bad.

Yeah. As long as they don't turn up dead on Friday, I'll see if I can arrange a meet and greet. It'd be good to have everybody on the same page. [But thanks guys, he looks a little relieved.]
