Morning. Think we have some stuff to go over, don't we? [Teach him, Kagachi-sensei.]

As long as the effect from last week is gone.

By the way, I heard you know about my and Beck's roles?

[crashout]

Should be. I didn't feel anything this morning. [Make of that what you will, Kagachi. But. Ah. There's a smile.]

I hadn't realized someone else found Beck. But yeah. I know. Dick told you?

[preceptive]

[well good to know junpei and dick aren't going to be banging every night, maybe]

We figured each other out on Saturday. And yeah, he did.

[crashout]

What else did he tell you? [...] I was going to tell him about Beck, but I made her a promise to keep quiet until she was sure it'd be safe.

[preceptive]

Beck and Dick are probably going to find each other soon. She wanted to meet the other role I knew, and I passed the message on to him. Couldn't confirm her identity for him, but he was on the right track as to who to seek out.

So I know about his role, if that's what you mean.

[crashout]

Just curious. [...and for a moment, he pauses.] What'd he tell you about his role?

Escha told us about yours.

[preceptive]

That he doesn't know what it even is, and so far he's gotten that bookmark and note?

So Dick said.

[crashout]

[He looks pleased.]

Just making sure we're all on the same page. He's right. We've been trying to understand what his role's even doing here but so far we've been coming up a little blank.

[But...because it's Kagachi, he takes a moment to think.] ...before Escha died, we were working on trying to find anyone else who had special rules to work with. We made a lot of progress, but we're missing some.

[preceptive]

Who else?

[crashout]

Taako and Haymitch. Dick. Escha. You. Beck. And Nikkari. I trust you not to disclose this information to anyone else.

[The look says he's hesitant to actually name these people because he really doesn't want to get fucked over, but...] Is what Escha said true? You can pick someone to check if they're possessed?

[preceptive]

[he nods. to both, really.]

[crashout]

[...there's a low sigh.]

Okay. That's...good. That's really helpful to know. [How it'll work, he has no idea but.] I think the point is for all of these roles to find each other and work together. I have a few people I'd like to ask, but if you can think of anyone who might be suspicious let me know? It's worth giving everyone a closer look.

[preceptive]

Not everyone's going to be as obvious as Escha was, and I don't think whatever roughed up the three of us will let us off easy a second time... but yeah, I'll keep an eye out.

[crashout]

Do you think it was another role that went after the three of you in the first place?

[preceptive]

I doubt a role exists just to punish those who break the rules. Who'd punish them, after all?

[crashout]

Your host didn't tell you? There are consequences if we break our own rules...but I don't think anybody's actually tried yet. So there's maybe something bigger here. Like whoever gave us these roles in the first place.

[preceptive]

Probably. We still haven't gotten any leads on that, as far as I know.

[crashout]

I'm hoping once we figure out all of them maybe somebody can give some answers. [He looks to the sky.] If what you guys heard in that arcade is true, we're probably looking for thirteen people. Once those numbers are found? I'm betting something happens.

[preceptive]

We'll see. The rule against outing yourself or letting other people out you with your permission is going to make it difficult, though—if the point is that everyone finds everyone.

[crashout]

Wait is that really a rule that you can't out other people? [There's a frown of thought, but okay.] Maybe it's not that everyone has to find everyone, but if we can get everybody to figure it out in groups we can swing things in our favor.

[preceptive]

You can't use other people to out your own role. Escha was probably fine telling you about me because I didn't okay it. However, I doubt I would've been able to tell you when I figured her out, because she'd told me then that she wanted you to know and I would've been acting with that knowledge.

Basically, it has to be independent of the role's will.

I can try asking the hosts about it at my next meeting, though I don't know if it'll turn anything up.

[crashout]

The rules kind of sound like a pain in the ass. But good to know. I'd rather not make it worse for you guys.

It's worth asking, I think. I figure the more questions asked the more we can rule out either way, so isn't that a win in and of itself?

[preceptive]

Chuuya, at least, approved of me asking questions on the basis of "worth a shot", so why not?

[crashout]

That's because Chuuya's one of the more tolerable hosts. [There's a grin. But okay...]
