But that is the nature of a sword, isn't it? We were forged for battle, and with battle comes bloodshed. I may not always enjoy it, but I cannot deny that there are times where it is satisfying. Not in a carnal way, necessarily... but in a way that makes me feel like I've fulfilled my purpose.

Fulfilling your purpose is a human thing too, believe it or not. That's the entire point of having and reaching goals no matter what. Sometimes you do things you aren't always proud of to reach those goals and feel like you're useful.
Something like that, right? Knowing your place in the world.
[ he doesn't say anything for a bit, choosing instead to lean against junpei. even if it's impossible to get a human to understand where he's coming from, he appreciates that junpei still makes the effort, and that along means much more to him than he could ever hope to express in words. ]
[ nikkari's laughter should be an extremely familiar sound to junpei at this point. it, along with a playful little peck to his lips, are the only responses junpei receives from him now. ]
