[Demons. But he'll just keep pouring while WWX drains his cup. He's still nursing his second because he's focused on the conversation.]

I'll let them know. I know they haven't had a chance to contact the dead this week, so I'll be sure to tell them before that. I'm not sure if there are really rules outside of the fact the dead can't linger for too long. It's why I really need to find the other one so I can put the two of them together.

The three we're missing are the Booty Caller, Izuminokami's old role, and a Sugar Daddy. I'm not sure what all the Sugar Daddy can do, but I found one already. They're our box-sender. I'm not sure what their role has done since then, but I think it's stuff they can't tell me.

Mm, I see... So - do you know who was writing the directives to Kanesada, then? That's not one of our missing Booty Callers or Sugar Daddies, right? And do you happen to have a name for what his role was?

Nope. I kind of assumed they were ghosts or hints from the past but nobody's been able to confirm that for me. I'm pretty sure it's not one of them, because as far as I can tell all of Izuminokami's hints were pointing at other roles.

His started with a C. Seven letters. Something a sword would be familiar with, not really something to call a person or an object and not exactly an adjective. [A withering look.] We played a guessing game for a while before I gave up.

Ah... Well, if it's ghosts or hints from the past, that takes one job out of my hands. I was supposed to be checking for things to compare the notes to - not that it matters much, since I heard only Kanesada could read what he received, anyway?

Ah, Higekiri did. He said Kanesada was looking for something to compare the handwriting of something to...? Haha, anyway, he did a terrible job at getting a look for himself so I was going to take over that part.

[He has no idea what's going on he just nods and agrees to do shit. RAISING A HAND as if to say "I don't know shit my guy", and taking a big sip of his drink.]

His ghost notes, yeah. Izuminokami asked me for handwriting comparisons, too, before I realized it was because he had a role. Nobody else could see the notes except for him. And now we get to start all over.

Haha, it's too bad all that work was a dead end anyway. Any idea at all where to start looking for his successor?

I have a list of people I've talked to before that said they don't have a role, so maybe there. Just because they didn't before doesn't mean they don't now. It should have shifted today if it was shifting at all.

But the approach of accusing people without basis doesn't work, so I just have to hope people trust me enough to hint where I need them to.

I did say we're quite afflicted with a horrible trust in Junpei Tenmyouji, didn't I? Haha - how far on the list have you gotten? Or have you not started just yet?

You did, but even so. Is trust going to be enough? [He sounds mostly curious rather than self-defeating.] I want to believe people will guide me to help them in the way that people have said I'm supposed to. But it's really up to them.

I'm still looking...I wanted to wait until the evening to give them time to find out for themselves if the role shifted at all. I'm not sure what day Izuminokami met with Polly and Nathan so his role might not even manifest until that day? I don't really get how it all works.

[He taps his fingers on the counter.] I have a list of nine people. Two of those people already have roles and I just haven't found them yet. So it's a shot in the dark with the seven people left, a lot of who I already talked to and confirmed they didn't have a role previously. Of the seven left, five told me they initially didn't have a role. So...those five are still contenders now.

Haha, well. It's a bit hard to guide when everyone's hands are so tied, hm?

[He raises a hand, tapping at his chin after that - considering. Then:]

I know. [He looks up to the sky for a moment.] Tamamo, Higekiri, Hizamaru, Katy, and you. Those are the five I thought to ask before Izuminokami died. I have suspicions about someone, and the rest are kind of wildcards for me.
