Hard to know for sure whether they're all good. [ he's agreeing with junpei there, but-- ] The real question is, if one of them is bad, are they aware? Or are they being used?

Maybe a little of both. Nothing in the rules say the jobs absolutely have to be done, does it? Sounds like a loophole.

[There's a pause. But...yeah, he should correct her.] Actually, we know six people with roles. So we have seven to find. Makes the odds a little better.

Yeah. One of them was responsible for my box, and the other...I don't know what it is or what it does yet. I was hoping to learn more from them this week but we've all been a little preoccupied.

So you found a role but you don't know what it does?

[ why does dick have to know basic math. he narrows his eyes a bit in thought. ]

Is that it? You know I talk to a lot of people. Are you asking, or are you telling me?

You're allowed to confirm if somebody says it like that, right...?

...my rules are a little different than both of yours, so I needed to make sure I could even confirm it when confronted. [So yeah. Hi.] Sorry I didn't say so sooner.

[ She might be more upset but he apologized right away, so! It's fine in her book! ]

[ dick meanwhile is quiet, the lack of expression on his face only emphasized by the convenient superhero mask.

It's fine. We had to figure it out for ourselves anyway, didn't we? That clamshell use was a hint.

[ dick's trying to think of what other hints he missed but also like, priorities-- ]

Yeah. Figures you'd pick up on that. [He had tried last week, too, with the clamshell but they'd all been a little busy. It doesn't matter, now that it's out in the open this makes it easier to talk freely.]

I asked about that. Turns out the whole thing was by chance, but...it's a little funny to think about. Kind of makes me wonder if there're other roommate pairs with roles. It'd be easier to find them that way.

[ dick. laughs, a bit, finishing off his dumpling ]

I think Escha's got the right idea. [ he certainly feels lucky, considering how well all three of them get along. and also. the info sharing is such a nice bonus. ] Since we're on the hunt for our remaining seven now-- IK came to me the other day with a blank piece of paper, and asked if I could read it. I don't know if it was something he was given or if it was related to that, but... It's something to keep in mind.

[ dick does not, in any way, explain who "IK" is supposed to be. ]

Of course she does. [Likewise, he's actually pleased to be working with people he gets along with. He hasn't touched his dumpling because he's still a little distracted by something, but there's a pause when Dick mentions that.]

"Some fucker doxxed me." Says he woke up with it Thursday morning, no idea where it came from. But pretty sure it's not the same place my box came from. We did a handwriting comparison.

[He does not, actually, need an explanation who IK is, but he glances at Escha.] Izuminokami.

[ Escha, who had been getting out her clamshell to start scrolling through profiles, nods. ]

What does that mean?

Doxxing is a term for when you find private or identifying information about someone and publish it in some way to make it public. [ dick does not mention the part about it being done online because. he doesn't want. to explain the internet ] Like-- back home, if someone figured out my identity and made it public knowledge, you could say I was doxxed. In this place, though...

That's how I explained it to Izuminokami, too. In a place like this, what would be considered private or identifying? [He has an answer he just doesn't want to say it.] Or, I guess, what's considered publishing it and going public?

Wouldn't it be... A role?

Those are our biggest secrets, aren't they? So did someone find out his role? And if they did, um, does that mean he has a role?

That's what I thought too. A role, or-- possession of the demon are the two big secrets a person can have. But I don't think a demon would send an invisible note about being doxxed. So why did IK get that note?

[crashout]

Escha might be right that he has a role, but the role is something different than being doxxed. Maybe he receives ghost notes from the past or something? [A shrug.] It could be similar to Dick's where information's delivered to Izuminokami and he has to put it together.

Or. It's similar to our Box-Role and someone picked him at random as part of their role. A hidden message of some kind.

I thought it was like someone else's role. They can see his role, then he gets the notification, maybe? Like a side effect or something.
