higekiri will be with hizamaru for the majority of the evening most likely - and he'll turn in junpei's direction. he does glance in hizamaru's direction, as if checking in on him for a moment... before offering a tired but polite smile back in junpei's direction.]

[It takes him a moment to focus when someone else approaches, but he glances up, first at Higekiri to return the look with his eyes a bit lowered, and then at Junpei.
They both seem fairly the same, except he has something familiar around one wrist.]
[Ah. He was wondering where that might've gone. There's a small pause and for a moment he looks like he's going to say forget it, but...]
I don't think anyone can blame either of you. [Hard day...] I wanted to check in and ask you guys a couple of questions...about Prompto. Are you okay with that?
You did what you could. You protected him in the way that was most important. But that's...sort of what I want to ask. Neither of you woke up at any point last night, did you? Prompto was in the room and everything when all of you fell asleep?
That matches what I know from Beck and Carlos last weekend. Beck slept through everything, but Carlos woke up and noticed Polly was gone. He died the same night. Like the people who're supposed to die are the ones with the power to be awake.

... well, there were a number of us in the room. If he was awake, that likely meant he was going to be attacked. Others present in the room would be liabilities if they could not wake up, and more targets for a possible assailant if they somehow managed to get into our room.

I'm still going around getting information about what was found, but the answer's coming up as "not much." Doesn't exactly inspire a ton of confidence...then again, your door had the camera. [Any idiot could have seen that.

He sounded surprised to receive it... I believe I'm the first who might've inquired - and it was another token from home. It didn't appear to be anything particular valuable, except perhaps in sentiment. It was small enough to fit in a box, and he did not recognize the handwriting of the note with his name.

Perhaps it is someone who wishes to give you both reassurances? They seemed like kind gestures.
...I imagine that it was something meant to be nice, yeah. [There's a strange sort of smile, like he's not sure it hit its mark but he understands the attempt.] I'd be interested to know if there's something in common, too. And maybe if there are others. If no one's asked Wei Wuxian before he probably doesn't know.
I don't mind continuing to look around. I told them all that if they hear anything about it, then I'd like to know. Um... Chuuya told us that he doesn't have anything to do with giving the gifts out, so my guess is that it's either this place at work or it would leave someone in our number if the other resurrected are incapable.

...I think it's not so much making people remember something but more like a motivation of some kind. If you give someone something to remind them of their goals, they'll work harder or they'll feel better about a situation that seems pretty shitty. Higekiri maybe has a point.

He said that he isn't able to give us gifts from home - and even if he is able to give us items like them, they would not operate the same way. He couldn't say anything more about what others received either.
